i-APS conducted a comprehensive impact assessment of the triple crisis in Sudan, focusing on food, energy, and financial challenges. The primary objective was to provide timely, actionable data on the crisis's effects on vulnerable populations, particularly those impacted by the mid-April 2023 crisis.
The assessment encompassed key areas such as food insecurity, migration, and livelihood systems, aiming to deliver valuable insights into the crisis's effects and inform strategic response efforts. By focusing on these core areas, the assessment contributed to the development of evidence-based strategies for effective crisis response and supported the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
i-APS Sudan teams conducted fieldwork across four Sudanese states, involving 1,500 household surveys, 48 key informant interviews, and 12 focus group discussions. i-APS engaged a diverse team of 23 data collectors, including representatives from government institutions and international experts. This collaborative approach ensured a comprehensive and representative data collection process.
