i-APS uses evaluation matrices and tailored tools to ensure reliable data collection in sensitive environments and vulnerable populations while adhering to core humanitarian standards. We recruit field teams from target communities, train them in both in-person and remote data collection, and support them with an in-house data analysis team. Our MEL teams, led by subject matter experts and supported by national field-teams, use quantitative and qualitative data collection methods to examine relationships between contexts, project features, major events, and other variables of interest. We collect reliable data to independently verify key questions in various settings, including active conflict zones and hard-to-reach areas. i-APS partners with diverse stakeholders to support learning and accountability. We develop context-sensitive tools and data collection strategies, integrating MEL into overall organizational learning to support donor accountability and improve humanitarian programming.
