Roberta Contin brings more than three decades of field experience in development and humanitarian assistance in the Middle East (Yemen, Jordan, Palestine), Africa (Angola, Uganda) and Europe (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Roberta’s field work started as technical specialist in disability rehabilitation, education and disability inclusive education, to evolve as project/program manager of programs focusing in sectors including education, child labor, food security, youth workforce development and, more recently, MERL and TPM. As Chief of Party for the USAID Yemen MEL platform, Roberta provided strategic leadership and direction to the project, focusing on Third Party Monitoring and Technical Assistance to USAID. As Country and Program Director for Global Communities in Yemen, Roberta leads efforts at all project phases – from design to evaluation – at both field and management levels. Her Management approach focuses on building and sustaining teams of staff to foster positive change. Roberta’s work affiliations include INGOs, donors and private companies. Roberta joined i-APS in 2021, focusing on MERL activities in Yemen and Syria. Roberta holds a Master degree in International Education and a Bachelor degree in Education (Bologna University).
